The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury and/or immigration law, excellent client communication skills, and a passion for helping clients achieve their goals. As an Attorney with our firm, you will handle a variety of cases, including personal injury pre-litigation, personal injury litigation, and immigration cases with a concentration in family-based immigration, employment visas, asylum applications, naturalization, and deportation defense.
Duties:
- Represent clients in court proceedings and other legal matters, effectively litigating cases to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Provide comprehensive legal advice on matters related to Personal Injury and/or Immigration Law.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients to resolve disputes amicably and efficiently.
- Conduct thorough legal research using Lexis Nexis, Westlaw, etc. to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents including pleadings, contracts, wills, and other necessary paperwork.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and case progress within the law office.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas to ensure compliance and effective representation.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Georgia state bar association is required.
- Previous experience in litigation or a specific area of law such as Personal Injury or Immigration Law is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective client interaction and courtroom representation.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools like Lexis Nexis and/or Westlaw is highly desirable.
