Responsibilities:
Case Management:
- Oversee a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, handling cases from inception to resolution
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to formulate effective case strategies
- Prepare discovery, pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their legal needs and provide timely updates on case developments
- Represent clients in negotiations, mediations, and settlement conferences
- Attend court hearings, trials, and various legal proceedings
- Present compelling oral arguments and advocate on behalf of clients
- Stay abreast of legal developments, statutes, regulations, and case law relevant to civil litigation
- Conduct thorough legal research to support strategic decision-making
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to ensure seamless case management
- Takes on other projects as needed/assigned
Qualifications:
- Admission to the CA bar
- Adherence to ethical and professional standards
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience in managing a litigation caseload
- Experience drafting legal documents, such as briefs, motions and discovery requests
- Experience conducting research on legal issues associated with the case
- Excellent analytical and writing skills
- Strong communication skills, including communicating with clients, team and partners and providing timely reporting and appearing in court
