As an Attorney, you will play a crucial role in representing clients, providing legal advice, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws.
Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in legal proceedings, including litigation and negotiations.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Lexis to support case preparation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Manage case files and maintain accurate records of all legal proceedings.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to develop case strategies.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients' cases.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to the law office's operations.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Missouri, Illinois is a plus.
- Experience in personal injury plaintiff or defense work is preferred, but not required.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and writing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
