Job Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney to join our legal team. This role requires exceptional legal drafting skills, the ability to negotiate effectively, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services to our clients. The Attorney will work collaboratively with other legal professionals and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients in various areas of law, including business law, probate law, family law, and bankruptcy law.
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as /Lexis to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and agreements with precision and attention to detail.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored legal solutions.
- Prepare for and attend court hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and client communications.
Experience:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in Illinois.
- Strong skills in legal drafting and writing; ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly.
- Experience negotiating settlements or contracts is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with Westlaw, Lexis, or similar legal research tools is a plus.
