Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP is seeking a qualified and dedicated Attorney to represent firm clients in legal matters and support collection activities in Orange County. The Attorney will collaborate with the Jefferson County Partner to manage cases, handle court proceedings, oversee collection processes, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound legal judgment, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while upholding the firm's highest standards of professionalism and integrity. Job Overview:
Represent firm clients in legal matters primarily in Orange County and work with Partner of the Jefferson County Office to support that work as may be necessary; direct collection activities and market the Firm's services.
Requirements:
- License to practice law in Texas
- Knowledge of title work, government finance a plus
- Must have a valid driver license, reliable vehicle and insurance.
Essential Functions:
- Provide legal advice and representation to firm clients
- Direct collection campaigns
- Supervise Area Managers' performance and activities
- Attend court dockets and oversee tax sales
- Report firm performance to clients and elected officials as required.
- Visit clients and elected officials and develop personal relationships
- Attend conferences and entertain clients as necessary
- Coordinate presentation of firm proposals for new contracts and renewals
- Respond and prepare for potential loss of contacts to competitors
- Market firm resources to potential clients in the field.
- Performs other duties, as needed and within the scope of the role, to support team objectives and organizational goals

- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for long periods of time, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- The employee is occasionally required to walk short distances; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. Repetitive finger motions for keyboarding are necessary.
- Specific vision abilities required are to see clearly, and close vision due to computer work.
- Occasional daytime or nighttime driving required to attend in-person court, conferences, or other firm events.

- Evaluate the performance of direct reports and provide constructive feedback through regular check-ins and formal reviews
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, legal ethics, and professional standards across supervised staff
- Address performance or conduct issues and implement disciplinary action as appropriate, in line with company policy and legal requirements.
