Summary:Piccin and Glynn specializes in personal injury law and works diligently to help their clients receive faircompensation. To further this effort, we are looking for an Attorney to represent clients in legal proceedings, drawup legal documents, and manage & advise clients on legal transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Interpret laws, case law, rulings and regulations for individuals and businesses.
- Analyze the probable outcomes of cases, using knowledge of legal precedents.
- Gather evidence to formulate defense or to initiate legal actions by such means as interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of a case.
- Represent clients in depositions, mediations and in court at hearings and trials.
- Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases.
- Advise clients concerning claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
- Prepare, draft, and review legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements of personal injury claims with adjusters and defense attorneys.
Requirements:
- License to practice law in the state of Florida with good standing
- Minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation knowledge and experience (Plaintiff or Defense experience)
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Demonstrated experience building strong relationships with clients
- Client-focused with the ability to use active listening
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
