Job Description:
Successful personal injury firm in Las Vegas, Nevada seeks a litigation attorney with no less than five years of litigation experience representing personal injury plaintiffs to join our office. Vegas Valley Injury Law and its sister firm, Double Eagle Injury Law, pride themselves on being a dynamic firm with a multi-state footprint spanning nearly every state west of the Mississippi. Applicants should have a strong academic record, a comfortability with leading a team and a willingness to learn from an established brand. Essential Job Functions:
  • Gathering and reviewing medical evidence and medical records.
  • Taking and defending depositions of fact and expert witnesses and other relevant parties.
  • First or Second Chair Experience at Trial.
  • Conducting discovery.
  • Performing legal research.
  • Remaining current with developments in the law.
  • Drafting pleadings, findings of fact, motions, briefs, opinions, and other legal documents.
  • Appellate experience is plus.
  • Represent the interests of clients at hearings, trials, depositions, oral arguments, mediations, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
  • Communicate with claims representatives.
  • Assist with the investigation of accidents and problem areas.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
  • Travel for litigation and trial work required.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Education, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Nevada license or successful completion of Nevada Bar Exam.
  • UBE License preferred.
  • Proven track record of leadership and ability to problem solve independently.
  • Working knowledge of legal principles and practices.
  • Inherent, local knowledge and familiarity of the greater-Las Vegas metroplex required.
  • In depth knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal research techniques and legal terminology.
  • Microsoft Office experience required.
  • Outstanding organizational, research and administrative skills.
  • Established interpersonal skills. Introverts need not apply.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent telephone and writing skills.
  • Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well independently.
  • Organization, planning, attention to detail, and dependability.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $125,000.00 - $400,000.00 per year
