Position Overview:We are seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record handling personal injury cases from intake through trial, with a focus on litigation. You will play a critical role in advocating for clients, managing complex cases, and contributing to our firm's reputation for outstanding results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, and trial.
- Conduct thorough case evaluations, investigations, and legal research to develop case strategies.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.
- Communicate effectively with clients, keeping them informed and managing expectations throughout the litigation process.
- Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and expert witnesses to prepare cases for trial.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Nevada personal injury law and civil procedure.
- Ensure efficient case management and meet firm performance goals related to case outcomes and client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in Nevada (required).
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in personal injury litigation (trial experience preferred).
- Strong understanding of Nevada civil procedure and local court rules.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management software (e.g., LexisNexis, Clio).
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, client-centered representation.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience taking and defending depositions, including expert depositions.
- Demonstrated success in achieving favorable settlements and verdicts.
- Leadership or mentoring experience with junior attorneys or legal staff.
