We are a well-established law firm in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo seeking a motivated and talented Attorney to support our growing practice in civil litigation and business transactions.This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney seeking meaningful experience in both litigation and transactional work in a supportive, professional environment, or for an experienced attorney with an established book of business looking to grow their practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with all phases of civil litigation, including case preparation, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial support.
- Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other business documents.
- Conduct legal research and provide analysis on litigation and transactional matters.
- Advise clients on business formation, compliance, and general corporate issues.
- Collaborate with partners and staff on case strategy and client service.
- Manage a varied caseload efficiently while maintaining high-quality work product.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
- Active license to practice law in the State of Michigan (required).
- 1–5 years of relevant experience preferred (strong candidates with less experience will be considered).
- Solid academic record and strong research and writing skills.
- Excellent communication and client-service abilities.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Interest in both litigation and transactional work.
