A Gulf South Based Litigation Firm in Jacksonville has an associate attorney position available now and we're looking for the right professional to join our team. You will have the opportunity to learn from litigation directors on legal issues and will provide legal counsel to existing clients. You'll also be responsible for performing legal research, drafting documents, and keeping client files up to date. Importantly, Galloway sets itself apart from other firms by focusing on developing attorneys into seasoned and experienced litigators through hands-on participation in litigation activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research, prepare for and attend hearings and/or other legal proceedings, and provide legal counsel with the help of senior associate attorneys
  • Prepare correspondence and legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, briefs, affidavits, motions, and settlement agreements for contract negotiations and proceedings
  • Keep files organized to make sure the most recent updates are accessible to other attorneys, paralegals, and staff
  • Assist clients in determining a proper solution to legal conflicts and determine the best course of action

Qualifications:
Requirements:
  • Must be admitted to practice law in the state of Florida
  • Ability to work with senior attorneys to best serve client needs and grow our client base
  • Exceptional communication skills and problem-solving skills needed in order to work with all levels of staff and our clients

Preferences:
  • Minimum of one year of civil litigation experience
  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree required from an accredited law school
  • Candidates must have passed the bar exam
