We are an established real estate law firm with offices throughout California. Our Irvine office is seeking an experienced landlord-tenant attorney to join our fast-paced team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling commercial and mobile home unlawful detainer evictions, potentially through trial, as well as pre-litigation residential and commercial landlord-tenant disputes on behalf of property owners and managers. We are seeking a team player with a positive attitude who can develop strong relationships with our extensive client base while providing high-quality and effective representation.About Us:

Schedule:
Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:30pm Monday-Thursday, 8:30am-5:00pm Friday. Training will be completed in the office and then the successful hire may be permitted to work remotely a few days each week.
Compensation:
$135k-$225k/annually (DOE) + Benefits
Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation to clients, assessing the facts and issues of each scenario and counseling clients appropriately
- Review documents and guide clients through the eviction process
- Provide legal advice through phone consultations, emails, and video conferences
- Draft legal correspondence, including letters and notices
- Litigate unlawful detainer trials throughout Southern California courts
- Draft pre-trial motions and pleadings
- Represent the firm internally and externally
- Complete project-based work and additional duties as needed to support the practice group
- The successful candidate will be required to make court appearances. This position has a billable hour goal of 1600 hours p/year.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:
- J.D. and an active California Bar license
- 5+ years of civil litigation experience
- General knowledge of landlord-tenant law
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- The following qualifications are preferred:
- Trial experience
- Experience in the rental housing industry
- Lexis/Westlaw experience
- Experience with case management and/or document management systems
