About the Job:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Attorney to join our highly collaborative team. 2-5 years of litigation experience is preferred, but not necessary for the right candidate. As an Attorney at Neel, Hooper & Banes, you will play a pivotal role in our firm by handling a wide range of litigation-related tasks. Our firm focuses on labor & employment and government contracting and compliance matters, advising business clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and decision-making
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents with attention to detail
  • Manage and oversee the discovery process, including drafting discovery requests, responding to discovery, and coordinating document production with clients
  • Collaborate with clients and internal team to gather necessary case information
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, hearings, and depositions
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and partners
  • Exhibit a high degree of integrity and ethical conduct in all interactions

Requirements:
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Texas
  • Exceptional legal writing skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Organizational skills and ability to manage case load
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision

If you are a dedicated attorney with a passion for litigation and exceptional research and writing skills, you will be an excellent candidate to join our firm. This position will start as a 6-12 month contract, terms negotiable, with the opportunity to turn into a salaried Associate position with the firm.
