Description:
We are looking for an attorney with an interest in probate, real estate, and civil litigation to join our growing firm. Remote work is ok as long as the candidate can reliably commute to the office 2-3 times per week and when needed.Responsibilities:
- Duties would be typical of an attorney, including drafting pleadings, motions, conducting legal research, and preparing transactional work
- Oversee probate administration matters, including drafting applications, conducting a prove-up hearing, preparing inventory, and accounting
- Prosecute contested matters, including will contests, challenges to the appointment of a personal representative, and accountings
- Serve as lead counsel at trial and in pretrial hearings
- Review standard and custom transactional documents, including deeds, wills, contracts, and business formation documents
- This position would also assist in improving the delivery of client services through process improvement and automation
Qualifications:
- Texas Bar license
- Law School coursework or practical experience in Texas Civil Procedure
- Law School coursework or practical experience in drafting pretrial motions, legal briefs, and discovery requests
- Small-town roots or a desire to work in rural communities are preferred
Compensation:
$100,000 - $145,000 yearly
