Kelleher + Holland, LLC is a full-service law firm with a growing litigation practice handling a wide range of complex civil disputes. We're seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to manage sophisticated matters outside of the personal injury and contingent-fee space, while contributing to high-quality client service across our civil litigation practice.
Position Overview:
The Litigation Attorney will manage cases from inception to resolution, working independently while collaborating with partners and senior attorneys on strategy. This position is ideal for a seasoned litigator — 7 to 10 years of civil litigation experience preferred — with strong writing, analytical, and courtroom skills, who may bring an established book of business to the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in all phases of litigation — pleadings, discovery, motion practice, hearings, settlement negotiations, arbitration, and trial
- Conduct legal research and draft memoranda, motions, and other court filings
- Manage written discovery and take or defend depositions
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on case strategy and client communications
- Attend court hearings, status conferences, and mediations
- Develop and maintain client relationships, including independently sourced matters

Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Active license to practice law in Illinois; additional bar admissions a plus
- 7–10 years of civil litigation experience preferred
- An established book of business is highly valued, though not required for the right litigator
- Experience in commercial litigation, real estate litigation, employment law, or related civil practice areas is a plus
- Strong legal writing and oral advocacy skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines independently
