About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Attorney with 5+ years of legal practice in Business and Alcohol Beverage Law to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate understands not only the law but also the needs of business clients — who rely on timely, practical counsel to operate successfully in fast-paced environments.

This is a client-facing, growth-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial, collaborative environment and is excited to be part of a firm that's building something exceptional.

Who You Are:
  • A seasoned legal professional with at least 5 years of experience in business law, regulatory compliance, and/or alcohol beverage law
  • Comfortable advising clients on matters such as entity formation, contracts, distribution agreements, trademarks, ABC licensing, and federal/state compliance
  • A strong communicator with soft skills that build trust, foster relationships, and deliver counsel with urgency and empathy
  • A team player with a positive personality, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service
  • A self-managed high performer who owns their work and takes pride in results

What You'll Do:
  • Represent and advise clients in business law matters, with a focus on alcohol beverage industry clients including producers, distributors, importers, and retailers
  • Navigate and manage state and federal alcohol beverage licensing and regulatory compliance processes
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and agreements relevant to alcohol, hospitality, and general business operations
  • Provide ongoing counsel to clients on compliance, operational strategy, and growth
  • Guarantee timely communication with clients to uphold our reputation for responsiveness and service
  • Actively contribute to internal training, mentorship, and community service initiatives aligned with the firm's values
  • Drive toward clear performance goals, continuously working to exceed expectations and grow the practice

Requirements:
  • JD from an accredited law school and licensed to practice in Kentucky and Ohio
  • Minimum 5 years of legal experience in business law, preferably with experience or focus in alcohol beverage law
  • Proven ability to manage clients, deliver exceptional legal counsel, and drive results
  • Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills
  • A proactive, professional, and entrepreneurial mindset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $69,711.90 - $135,000.00 per year
