Job Description and Duties:
This position will be a member of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife's (CDFW) highly collaborative and collegial legal office comprised of natural resources, water law, enforcement, and administrative law legal professionals. This Attorney IV will be a member of the legal office's team of attorneys focusing on landscape conservation and advance mitigation and the California Endangered Species Act, and will provide critical support to CDFW's regulatory staff engaged in permitting under a variety of permitting and other regulatory and nonregulatory programs. This attorney's work will include a broad range of environmental and natural resources issues, relating to the Fish and Game Code, the California Environmental Quality Act, and other interrelated fish, wildlife, and plant issues. Working Conditions:
Maintain normal and consistent work hours, averaging 40 hours per week. Work in excess of 40 hours per week is expected, when necessary, to complete assignments in a timely manner. Position may require the incumbent to sit for long periods of time. Light lifting or reaching may be required, though reasonable accommodation may be provided upon request.

This position will be located in Sacramento. Some overnight travel may be required.

Special Requirements:
The position(s) require(s) a(n) CA State Bar License. You will be required to provide a copy of your license prior to being hired.

This position requires active membership in the California State Bar.
