Position specifications:
Incumbents in this position in the City Counselor's Office are responsible for providing legal advice to the Mayor's Office, City department heads, and administrative boards and staff. Duties include performing as strategists and litigation counsel addressing public health concerns, predatory business practices, and civil rights matters that affect the people of the City of St. Louis as well as direct harms to and the constitutionality of laws impacting the City of St. Louis itself in proactive plaintiffs' litigation on behalf of the City of St. Louis.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduation from a school of law approved by the American Bar Association; current membership in the Missouri Bar in good standing or licensure in another state with eligibility for reciprocity in Missouri; plus four years of legal practice in civil litigation.

Documentation of membership in the Missouri Bar or licensure in another state must be submitted upon request.
