Job Qualifications:
Professional
law degree (Juris Doctorate/JD) from a recognized and accredited law
school. Member of the bar of the highest court of a state or the
District of Columbia. Five years of Labor/Employment Law legal
experience as a licensed and practicing attorney.Additional Qualifications/Requirements

- Work – Onsite (HQ – Dallas, Texas/Exchange Location)
- Remote/Telework not authorized per Presidential Memorandum “Return to In Person Work”
- Candidates eligible for the Military Spouse Exemption may be considered for remote work
- Alternate authorized onsite duty location may be determined following selection.
Salary Minimum
$100,301.00
Major Duties:
- Represents the Exchange in various settings including Federal Court, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission , Exchange Hearing Examiner's Office, and/or Labor Arbitrators.
- Analyzes established legislation, prepares legal documents, reviews agency policies, and advises management on legal matters.
- Practices preventive law which may include developing and conducting educational sessions regarding prevention of litigation and recommends changes to policy.
- Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Provides analysis of current and proposed laws and policy and provides counsel to leadership.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
