About the Position:
Handling Programmatic Administrative Disqualification Hearings. Handling Administrative Agency Appeal Hearings. Handling Subgrant Administrative Agency Appeal Hearings. Preparing for and conducting formal administrative hearings for the Mississippi Department of Human Services pursuant to state and federal law. Drafting and issuing legal decisions with factual and legal analysis concerning federal programs. Researching complex legal and policy issues. Reviewing and/or drafting policy to improve efficiency and ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and other policies. Performing other duties as determined necessary by the agency.

relationships with othersPreferred Qualifications:
Requires
membership in the Mississippi State Bar Association. Agency preferred
qualifications: Requires membership in the Mississippi State Bar
Association. Experience conducting administrative hearings is strongly
preferred. An ideal candidate will possess excellent research and
writing skills. An ideal candidate will also possess an outgoing
personality and have excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in
effectively communicating verbally and in writing to diverse populations
and varying skill levels is preferred. Requires membership in the
Mississippi State Bar Association.
