This position has an annual rate of $70,000.00
The Service Oklahoma offers a generous benefits package, including a benefits allowance to off-set the costs of medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance plans. The Service Oklahoma will match up to 7% towards an employee's Defined Contribution retirement plan. Our employees receive 11 paid holidays, 15 days of paid annual leave, which increases with every 5 years of service, and 15 days of paid sick leave. Additionally, employees will receive longevity payments based on their years of service with the State of Oklahoma.
Job Description:
Position Summary:
The Attorney position is responsible for performing professional legal representation for Service Oklahoma, primarily in the area of implied consent litigation. Professional legal research and representation may be required in other areas related to driver license and motor vehicle services.
Position Responsibilities:

- Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, including but not limited to those specific to Service Oklahoma.
- Prepares various briefs, pleadings, motions, petitions, and other legal documents.
- Assembles legal materials, agency data, documents, and pleadings for court cases.
- Ensures that deadlines are met for filing various court actions.
- Participates in all aspects of litigation.
- Provides management with advice and work product exhibiting knowledge, insight, and understanding of relevant law and facts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

What is the difference between the two levels?
The Level I is an advanced level position where employees are responsible for performing various routine legal duties.
The Level II is a professional level position where employees are responsible for performing various complex legal duties.

- Graduation from an accredited law school; PLUS licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma; PLUS minimum one (1) year legal experience as a licensed attorney
