Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join our legal team. You will be responsible for handling a caseload of workers' compensation claims and providing legal representation to insured/employers/TPAs.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients at hearings, depositions, and mediations.
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Prepare and present cases in front of administrative law judges.
- Collaborate with other attorneys and staff to strategize and develop case strategies.
- Stay up to date with changes in workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and in good standing with the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience practicing workers' compensation law.
- Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania workers' compensation laws and procedures.
- Experience with heart and lung cases is highly preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
