Description:

Newly licensed and experienced attorneys encouraged to apply.

Employer Solutions Law is a rapidly growing firm dedicated exclusively to representing Washington employers. Over the past five years, we've expanded our practice, grown our team, and opened a second office in Eastern Washington.

As we continue to grow, we're creating opportunities for attorneys to develop expertise, build client relationships, take ownership of substantive legal matters, and play an active role in the future of our firm.

Prior experience in these specific practice areas is not required. We welcome both newly licensed attorneys seeking a strong foundation for their careers and experienced practitioners looking for greater independence, new challenges, and opportunities for professional growth.

What You'll Do:
Our practice includes approximately 50% workers' compensation defense, 25% workplace safety (DOSH/WISHA), 20% employment law, and 5% apprenticeship law. Actual assignments will reflect the attorney's experience, demonstrated abilities, and client needs.
  • Represent Washington employers in workers' compensation disputes, protests, appeals, and administrative hearings.
  • Defend employers in DOSH/WISHA inspections, citations, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Evaluate claims, research legal issues, develop case strategies, and draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
  • Advise employers on workplace policies, wage and hour requirements, regulatory compliance, and employment disputes.
  • Work directly with clients, claims administrators, and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in administrative hearings, litigation, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to provide practical, business-focused legal advice.

Mentorship & Career Development

For newly licensed and developing attorneys, we provide direct mentorship from Managing Attorney Brian Padgett and experienced colleagues, including regularly scheduled discussions and day-to-day guidance. Attorneys develop proficiency in a primary practice area before expanding into others, progressively taking responsibility for hearings, client relationships, case strategy, and independent case management.

For experienced attorneys, we offer opportunities to build on existing expertise, manage complex matters, expand into additional practice areas, develop client relationships, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the firm's continued growth and development.

What We're Looking For:
We value initiative, intellectual curiosity, practical problem-solving, and attorneys who take pride in their work and professional development.

Required:
  • JD from an accredited law school and active Washington State Bar membership, or eligibility for admission within an agreed-upon timeframe.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, writing, and communication skills.
  • Sound professional judgment, accountability, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate with colleagues, and respond constructively to feedback.
  • Interest in advocacy and representing Washington employers.
