Krause Estate Planning & Elder Law Center is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to deliver high-quality, client-centered legal services. This role focuses on developing customized estate plans, drafting core documents, and supporting estate administration in a collaborative, team-driven environment.

Job Summary:
The Estate Planning Attorney will support the firm's mission by delivering high-quality legal services in the area of estate planning. This role is responsible for assisting clients in developing customized estate plans, drafting basic legal documents, collaborating with internal and external professionals, and supporting the estate administration process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clients in designing estate plans that align with their goals and budgets
  • Conduct client meeting to gather information, understand client concerns, and explain planning options
  • Draft timely and accurate estate planning documents including wills, basic trusts, and powers of attorney (POAs)
  • Provide legal advice on retirement planning, charitable giving strategies, and insurance as it relates to estate planning
  • Coordinate with financial advisors, tax professionals, and other third parties to implement client estate plans
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding their estate plans in a timely and professional manner
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to move files through the estate administration process efficiently
  • Monitor caseloads to ensure cases progress according to defined milestones and deadlines
  • Delegate tasks to paralegals and legal assistants as appropriate and review their work to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of firm systems, processes, checklists, and templates
  • Participate in internal training and meet all defined training benchmarks
  • Actively network and engage in community-building efforts to develop relationships with local leaders and potential referral sources

What's Required?

  • Prior Experience in Estate Planning Is Preferred
  • Juris Doctor Degree
  • Active Wisconsin Law License
  • Wisconsin State Bar Admission
