The Role:We are looking for a sharp, self-directed attorney with 3–6 years of experience to join our in-house legal team. You'll work closely with paralegals and operations staff to manage a robust caseload. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-moving environment and can shift fluidly between tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and maintain litigation documents including pleadings, and motions, in particular we are seeking a candidate with experience drafting Summary Judgment motions.
- Prepare and file documents via NYSCEF
- Supervise and collaborate with paralegals on day-to-day file management
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and strategy
- Work within CPLR requirements across all stages of litigation
Qualifications:
- J.D. and active New York bar admission required
- Minimum 3 plus years of litigation experience in New York State courts
- Strong working knowledge of the CPLR and NYSCEF
- Proven motion drafting and pleadings experience
- Comfortable with high volume and tight turnaround times
- Strong communicator — with courts, clients, and internal staff alike
- Paralegal management experience a plus
