Description:
The Children's Fast Track (“CFT”) team prepares dispositions (opinions and/or memoranda) as requested by the judges of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania in CFT cases, i.e., adoption, dependency, termination of parental rights, paternity, and child custody. The position requires completing quality work within abbreviated deadlines and working independently as well as collaborating with the team. CFT team attorneys function essentially as law clerks for the judges in CFT subject matters. The primary location for this position is Philadelphia, Harrisburg or Pittsburgh. Appellate clerkship experience is required.Job Highlights:

Typical Duties:
- Prepare well-reasoned written dispositions for the judges of the Superior Court of Pennsylvania within abbreviated deadlines, which requires:
- Researching legal issues;
- Reviewing and analyzing certified records;
- Making legal conclusions;
- Discussing legal issues with judges and/or judicial staff.
Additional Duties:
- Circulate dispositions to the CFT team for internal editorial process;
- Review disposition drafts of the CFT team and provide constructive feedback;
- Perform related work as required of the CFT program and as requested by the Chief Staff Attorneys.
Minimum Qualifications:
- J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to and in active standing with the practice of law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
- 3 to 5 years' appellate clerkship experience.
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
Salary Information:
Starting Salary Range: $81,000-$91,000 (maximum salary is $101,209).
