ASSISTANT DEPUTY REVISOR FOR EDITING (ATTORNEY)OFFICE OF THE REVISOR OF STATUTES
MINNESOTA LEGISLATURE
The nonpartisan Office of the Revisor of Statutes is currently accepting applications for an attorney in the position of Assistant Deputy Revisor for Editing (Level 12). This position reports directly to the Revisor of Statutes, serves as an attorney team manager, and serves on the Revisor's Office management team. The position includes legislative drafting and administrative rule drafting and editing services for the office legal publications. In consultation with the Deputy Revisor for Editing, the Assistant Deputy Revisor for Editing assists with the editing and publications of the official compilation of Law, Statutes, and Rules.
The Office of the Revisor of Statutes is a nonpartisan legislative office that provides confidential bill and administrative rule drafting and related services to all members of the legislature, executive branch agencies, and constitutional offices. The office also edits and publishes Laws of Minnesota, Minnesota Statutes, and Minnesota Rules.
The minimum professional requirements are a law degree, a current law license, and admission to the Minnesota bar. The minimum experience requirements include five years of experience, demonstrated proficiency in drafting proposed legislation, knowledge of legislative procedure, and training or experience in personnel management.

This is a full-time, at-will position that works in-person with the possibility of some interim remote work consistent with legislative policies and office needs. We offer a competitive salary and opportunities for ongoing professional development. The starting salary range is expected to be between $114,844 and $145,000 commensurate with relevant experience. The range for this position is $114,844 to $207,583.
