We are seeking energetic, passionate people who enjoy the outdoors and want to play a key role for the position of Attorney 4 within the Oil & Gas Commission, headquartered at Fountain Square, assigned to Franklin County. What you will do…

Provide legal counsel and advice to the Oil & Gas Commission on policy development and implementation.
Coordinate public adjudicatory hearings for cases involving appeals of Chief's Orders.
Research and draft legal opinions for the Commission.
Hold status conferences and prepare, certify and transmit records of proceedings to the appellate court.

Starting hourly pay of $40.40/hr. with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service and an ending hourly pay of $57.67/hr.

There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. Development Required to remain in the Classification After Employment: Completion of 24 credit hours of continuing legal education from accredited programs for applicable two-year reporting period pursuant to Rule X of Rules of Government of Bar of Ohio. Current certificate of registration pursuant to Rule VII of Rules of Government Bar of Ohio.

Note: This position is unclassified in accordance with ORC 124.11 (A) (9).

Qualifications:
Admission to the Ohio Bar pursuant to Section 4705.01 of Revised Code AND 12 months of experience as a licensed attorney AND 6 months of experience in employee training and development.
