Description:

The Atlanta Office is looking for a Workers' Compensation Associate to join our growing team.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues
  • Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and agreements
  • Represent clients in court hearings, depositions, and mediations
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases
  • Maintain billable hours as necessary
  • Manage client relationships and a caseload with supervision
  • Assist in the representation of clients in motion practice, conferences, mediations, and trial when and where necessary

Position Requirements:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • 1+ years of experience working in a law office or similar legal environment (Clerkships in Superior Court will also be considered)
  • At least 1 year of experience in insurance matters is a requirement for consideration for this position, 2 years of experience is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience in discovery, especially depositions, motion practice, and ideally have at least some second chair litigation experience at the trial level.
  • Admission to the state bar association where practicing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, ProLaw, Excel, and e-document management software preferred.
  • Must be a self-motivated independent thinker with excellent time management skills, strong organizational skills, and outstanding communication skills with the ability to work as a team member in a high-volume fast paced work environment.
