Description:
Weir Attorneys is seeking an Associate Trial Attorney to join its civil litigation practice in Ewing, New Jersey. The successful candidate will manage a caseload of insurance defense matters and work closely with experienced trial attorneys while developing trial skills and taking ownership of cases.Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of litigation from inception through resolution
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and case evaluations
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend and argue hearings, arbitrations, and trials
- Communicate directly with clients and carriers
- Work with partners on litigation strategy, case development, and firm growth
- Take ownership of your cases and develop trial skills quickly
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active license to practice law in New Jersey and in good standing
- 3–5+ years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases independently and meet deadlines
