Job Summary:A National Law Firm's Tallahassee office is seeking a lateral associate for its special district practice group. These special districts constitute local units of special purpose government, creating the unique opportunity to practice in many areas of local government law, including such areas as public finance, contracts, public records, and governing board counsel, all in a private practice setting. This dynamic role is ideal for an attorney with experience or interest in developing their knowledge and skills in governmental law and transactional practice while working closely with experienced, nationally recognized partners.

- Ability to competently and professionally communicate with clients and supervising attorneys
- Ability to manage multiple matters and tasks simultaneously and to complete tasks efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to learn new substantive legal topics and factual subject matters as needed based on the nature of a matter
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Strong organizational and matter management skills
- Ability to work professionally and collaboratively with partners, associates, and support staff
- Ability to work effectively with large working groups as part of a transaction team
- Ability and willingness to travel
Qualifications: Education and Experience
- Must be currently admitted to practice in Florida with an active bar license in good standing or able to be admitted within the first year of employment
- Experience in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of transaction documentation
