We have an excellent opportunity for a full-time Associate Real Estate Counsel based in our Baldwin Park, CA* office. The Associate Real Estate Counsel provides professional legal support to the real estate department of In-N-Out Burger, and reports directly to the Department Head.
This position is full-time, in-office only

- Provide legal support for the Real Estate and Property Management department
- Address landlord/tenant and other operational issues and property management matters
- Conduct all aspects of transactional legal negotiations for new store development, existing store remodels, and related real property due diligence (including title and survey review and advising on land use matters)
- Communicate with other real estate department team members regarding contractual status, key dates/deadlines, requirements, action steps and costs
- Juris Doctorate Degree from an ABA-accredited law school; required
- Licensed attorney in good standing with the California Bar Association; required
- Minimum 4+ years' experience practicing real estate law, with an emphasis on quick service restaurant/retail development desired
- Expertise in real estate property contract negotiations and due diligence
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including public speaking/presentation skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise discretion and good judgment; strong moral compass and ability to operate with integrity and professionalism
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work autonomously and independently, yet be an integral part of an overall team environment
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
