Georgetown University Law Center (https://www.law.georgetown.edu/) seeks to hire a full-time faculty member to teach in its first-year Legal Practice Program. The position starts July 1, 2026. The faculty member will teach two sections of Legal Practice. Each section has approximately 23-25 students and meets two hours per week. Legal Practice Faculty at Georgetown also teach a two-hour weekly seminar with six law fellows, upper-level students who serve as teaching assistants for the first-year students. Professors are responsible for selecting their own texts, designing course materials, assigning student grades, and supervising law fellows.

Qualifications:
Candidates must have superior academic records and expertise in legal research, writing, and analysis. Three years of professional experience beyond law school and teaching experience is strongly preferred.
