Position Overview:
MAS Law is seeking a motivated Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with 5–8 years of experience in plaintiffs' personal injury law. This role requires a strong combination of pre-litigation case handling and litigation experience, with responsibility for managing cases from intake through resolution.

The ideal candidate is comfortable handling both settlement-driven pre-litigation work and active litigation duties, including depositions, motion practice, mediations, and trial preparation. This role offers a structured bonus track in addition to a competitive base salary.

Responsibilities:
Pre-Litigation Case Management
  • Conduct initial client calls and case evaluation
  • Perform liability investigations and case grading analysis
  • Evaluate medical records and billing documentation
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers to achieve favorable pre-suit settlements
  • Develop and execute settlement strategy to maximize case value
  • Maintain consistent client communication throughout treatment and negotiation phases

Litigation Responsibilities

  • Manage active litigation caseload with attorney oversight and independence
  • Draft and respond to discovery, pleadings, and motions
  • Take and defend depositions of parties, witnesses, and experts
  • Attend mediations, hearings, and court appearances
  • Assist in trial preparation and participate in trial proceedings when applicable
  • Develop litigation strategy in coordination with senior attorneys and firm leadership
  • Ensure deadlines, filings, and case progression are maintained efficiently

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active Texas Bar license required
  • 5–8 years of plaintiffs' personal injury experience required
  • Strong experience in both pre-litigation settlement work and litigation practice
  • Deposition and negotiation experience required
  • Trial experience required
  • Strong organizational, time management, and case management skills
  • Experience with case management systems
  • Ability to work independently while managing a high-volume caseload
