Description:
We are looking for a dynamic attorney or recent law school grad pending bar results to work on our litigation team. This attorney would handle General District Court matters including but not limited to contract and real estate disputes, landlord/tenant, and other general civil litigation. This attorney would also have exposure to transactional matters in the form of real estate closings, estate planning and business matters.Attorney Responsibilities:
- Represent client interests in state courts in Hampton Roads.
- Document drafting, editing, and review.
- Communicate with clients to learn about their legal needs and concerns and providing them with advice.
- Develop strategies to resolve cases favorably and cost-effectively for clients.
- Conduct residential real estate closings.
- Prepare legal documents, such as contracts, estate plans, and pleadings, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about current legislation, especially concerning legal specialties.
- Find ethical solutions to legal matters.
Attorney Requirements:
- Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
- Admission to the Virginia Bar or pending bar admission. If pending, must have third-year practice certificate.
- Experience or expertise in GDC preferred. Circuit Court experience is a plus.
