About the role:
Civica Law Group is looking for a Civil Litigator with an active California Bar license to join our team.
This role will work on civil litigation matters for public-agency clients. The position offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys and gain exposure to a variety of issues involving public safety, code enforcement, and local government.
The ideal candidate is a strong writer and researcher who is organized, takes ownership of their work, and is comfortable managing multiple priorities. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented legal professional eager to make a meaningful impact.
What You'll Do:
- Handle civil litigation legal matters for public-agency clients
- Conduct legal research and analyze legal and factual issues
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Work with attorneys and paralegals on case preparation and strategy
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and other stakeholders
- Manage deadlines and multiple matters
- Stay current on relevant laws and legal developments
What We're Looking For:
- Active California State Bar license in good standing
- Experience in criminal prosecution, civil litigation, or a related practice area
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills
- Excellent organization and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment
- Interest in local government, public safety, or code enforcement
