Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 DOE
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse caseload from inception through pre-trial, trial, and appeal when necessary ensuring each client receives effective legal representation
- Draft law and motion from initial complaints through all pre-trial motions and oppositions to trial and post-verdict pleadings
- Prepare and respond to discovery
- Take and defend depositions, including percipient witnesses and expert depositions
- Conduct pre-filing investigation and research
- Evaluate/Review potential cases, interview clients and witnesses
- Make court appearances, mostly in state court
- Support the firm's marketing initiatives, including the creation of content
- Occasional travel
Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 2-4 years of civil litigation experience with substantial law and motion experience
- Licensed California attorney
- Familiar with California state and federal court procedure and substantive law
- Preferred But Not Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience with bad faith and personal injury cases
- Deposition and some trial experience
- Bilingual is a plus
- Class Action experience
