Gerber Ciano Kelly Brady is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Labor Law attorney. The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in defense litigation, including at least 2 years of experience handling New York State Labor Law claims, and exposure to insurance coverage disputes.
This position requires a high level of motivation, flexibility, initiative, and the ability to independently manage assignments from inception through completion. The ideal candidate should demonstrate exceptional judgment, strong and professional communication skills, and a polished writing style. The attorney will collaborate with attorneys and support matters across the firm's footprint. Responsibilities include:
- Managing an assigned litigation caseload independently and with supervision, as appropriate.
- Drafting pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other litigation-related filings.
- Handling depositions, court appearances, and motion practice.
- Conducting comprehensive legal research and analysis.
- Representing clients in insurance defense and New York Labor Law matters, including claims arising under Labor Law 200, 240, and 241(6).
- Maintaining strong client relationships through responsiveness and adherence to client guidelines.
- Managing deadlines and ensuring all procedural and court requirements are met.
- Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
- Admission to practice in the State of New York is required (Admission to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and/or Connecticut is a plus).
- 2–5 years of experience in defense litigation.
- At least 2 years of experience handling New York State Labor Law litigation, including familiarity with the Industrial Code Rules.
- Exceptional writing, research, and analytical skills, with a commitment to producing high-quality, error-free work.
- Federal Court experience is a plus.

Salary range: $35.00–$70.00/hour ($72,800.00–$145,600.00), plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. The actual salary offered will depend on the candidate's skills, experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
