The Law Office of Claudia Gregoire seeks an associate attorney ideally with 1-2 years of experience in immigration law but candidates without experience are encouraged to apply.

Among many duties, the associate attorney will be responsible for litigating non-detained and detained cases before EOIR/ Immigration Court and the Federal Courts (if admitted), representing Respondents applying for asylum, cancellation of removal, and other defenses against removal as well as bond and habeas relief for incarcerated clients. The associate attorney will also prepare legal briefs, affidavits, and applications to USCIS, including VAWA petitions, U and T Visa applications, I-601/ I-601A applications, among others, and will also represent clients before USCIS. The attorney should also be willing to conduct consultations under the supervision of the partner.

The candidate should speak Spanish at an advanced level and have a J.D. from an accredited law school as well as the RI and/or MA bar licenses.

The salary is dependent upon experience and negotiable. To start, the yearly range is $72,500 to $75,000, with annual raises anticipated. Bonuses may also be given dependent upon performance and other factors. The firm will also provide health insurance benefits, a Simple IRA plan with 3% match, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development. Hours are M-Th 8:30am - 5:30pm, Fr 8:30am-5pm. The associate will primarily work in person at the Providence, RI office but occasional work-from-home days are available.
