Description:

We are hiring an Spanish-English fluent associate attorney. A minimum of two years prior experience handling immigration client cases is required.

The successful applicant will also be working in the areas of civil litigation and workers' compensation - these areas of the law will be taught (no prior experience necessary).

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to immigration and workers' compensation cases
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
  • Review and analyze legal documents, contracts, and agreements
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and hearings
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients
  • Attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and arbitrations as necessary
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to develop case strategies
  • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their rights and obligations

Skills:
  • English-Spanish bi-lingual
  • Strong legal drafting skills with the ability to prepare accurate and persuasive written documents
  • Proficient in conducting legal research using resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw
  • Knowledge of legal administrative procedures and practices
  • Excellent negotiation skills to effectively advocate for clients' interests
  • Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide sound advice based on research findings
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the court
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously

As an immigration/workers' compensation Attorney, you will play a crucial role in representing our clients in various matters. You will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, representing clients in court proceedings, and providing them with sound legal advice. Your expertise in legal drafting, research, negotiation, and litigation will contribute to the success of our firm.
