Description:JJ Moore & Associates is seeking a motivated and compassionate Immigration Associate Attorney with a minimum of two years of immigration law experience to join our growing legal team.
Our practice focuses primarily on humanitarian, family-based, and removal defense immigration matters. We are committed to providing strong legal representation while treating every client with compassion, respect, and understanding.
This is a great opportunity for an attorney who enjoys working directly with clients, solving immigration issues, and being part of a supportive team. You will manage your own cases while working closely with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and support staff.
What You'll Do:
- Meet with clients and assess their immigration options.
- Develop and manage case strategies.
- Handle humanitarian and family-based matters, including VAWA, U Visas, adjustment of status, waivers, and consular processing.
- Draft and review applications, petitions, declarations, legal arguments, and RFE responses.
- Prepare clients for USCIS interviews.
- Represent clients before USCIS and Immigration Court, depending on your experience.
- Review casework prepared by paralegals and work collaboratively with the legal team.
- Keep clients informed about their cases and next steps.
- Manage deadlines and maintain accurate case records.
Skills & Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of two years of immigration law experience.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage cases and deadlines effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Compassionate and professional approach to working with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, ethical, and client-centered representation.
Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred but not required.
