TX & NM Based Immigration Attorneys, is looking for an associate to join our dynamic, passionate, and growing bilingual team. Our firm focuses primarily on Latin American political asylum and .The candidate will:
- Represent clients in before government agencies and in court proceedings
- Prepare legal documents such as applications, petitions, appeals, motions and waivers
- Research and analyze complex immigration law issues
- Provide legal advice and counsel on all aspects of immigration law
- Communicate with clients regarding their immigration matters
- Monitor changes in immigration law and advise clients accordingly
- Develop strategies to resolve immigration-related problems
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of immigration law and trends
The candidate must:
- Be licensed in at least one US state
- Be in good standing with the Bar in the state(s) in which they are licensed
- Have experience managing a large caseload
- Be able to work independently and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of immigration law, statutes, practices, and procedures
- Have a strong background in a full range of immigration categories
- Be fluent in Spanish and English
