[solidcore] is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded attorney to join our legal team as a key contributor to our real estate leasing practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned real estate attorney to take ownership of a growing retail portfolio and play a meaningful role in the company's continued national expansion.

Located in vibrant Arlington, Virginia, and reporting to [solidcore]'s General Counsel, this position offers the chance to operate with significant autonomy and directly shape the legal strategy of a rapidly expanding, investor-backed organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Independently review, draft, and negotiate retail lease agreements, lease amendments, and related documents, including subordination & non-disturbance agreements, estoppel certificates, and commencement date agreements.
  • Manage lease related activities including responding to landlord requests, analyzing lease notices, and advising on lease enforcement issues.
  • Lead due diligence reviews of lease documents and real estate agreements for new and existing studio locations.
  • Partner closely with real estate, construction, facilities management, and operations teams to proactively identify and resolve lease and real estate matters.
  • Take on leadership responsibilities within cross-functional legal projects and initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of commercial real estate experience from a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
  • Deep knowledge of commercial leasing principles, landlord-tenant law, and retail real estate transactions.
  • Proven ability to independently manage a high-volume workload, prioritize competing demands, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
  • Strong business judgment and the ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice to non-legal partners.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across functions and seniority levels.
  • J.D. degree and member in good standing in at least one U.S. state bar.
