The impact you will make:
The Assistant General Counsel is part of the legal team, reporting to the General Counsel, supporting Kindeva's business and is part of a collaborative team supporting all aspects of the organization. You will serve as a trusted advisor to business colleagues, delivering strategic legal counsel across a wide range of commercial and corporate matters. The role requires a proactive, business-oriented mindset and the ability to independently manage complex legal issues while collaborating across global and local functions.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strategic legal partner to business teams and corporate functions, aligning legal support with business priorities.
  • A strong background supporting business transactions, including drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial transactions. Agreements will include including feasibility, development, technology transfer, supply, services, vendor/supply chain and all related business transactions.
  • Provide legal guidance on business development and alliance management initiatives.
  • Manage legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and regulatory investigations, in collaboration with external counsel.
  • Deliver legal training programs to enhance legal compliance and awareness across the organization.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments, assess business impact, and advise stakeholders accordingly.
  • Drive operational excellence by leveraging digital tools and legal technology to streamline workflows and enhance the visibility and strategic value of the Legal function across the organization. Work directly with our commercial and various business functions providing day-to-day advice, serving as lead counsel on strategic deals and business models while also working to resolving issues that arise in existing commercial relationships.

Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree or LL.M. degree from an ABA accredited law school, and admission to practice law in a jurisdiction in the U.S. with a minimum of 7 years of direct legal experience supporting business-to-business manufacturing, supply and sales operations, including negotiating and drafting complex commercial agreements.
  • Advanced legal expertise developed through extensive experience as a corporate legal counsel or attorney, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience and leadership in working alongside business colleagues and providing real-time guidance and advice on commercial transactions.
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework for pharmaceuticals in the United States is preferred.
  • Experience in supporting commercial pharmaceutical product development and manufacture.
  • Strong written and oral communication, as well as requisite interpersonal skills to work in a highly functioning, collaborative environment.
