Description:
Job Summary:The Associate General Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, working closely with the General Counsel and business leaders to support the Company's transactional, operational, and litigation matters.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work directly with the General Counsel on most, if not all, transactions, including acquisitions, third-party management and asset management arrangements, development projects, financing and refinancing, legal due diligence, entity formation and maintenance, and joint venture structuring.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial, real estate, and corporate agreements.
- Oversee litigation intake and manage the Company's litigation matters, including coordination with outside counsel.
- Serve as the lead in-house attorney on operational matters requiring legal input, including customer disputes and other claims.
- Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to internal stakeholders across the organization.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; active bar membership in good standing.
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience, with substantial transactional experience.
- Experience managing litigation and working with outside counsel.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership.
