A Social Networking Service Company is seeking a talented technology transactions attorney to work on our Artificial Intelligence (AI) Partnerships legal team. This role's primary function is to support a broad range of technology transactions focused on A Social Networking Service Company's AI research, products and services. An ideal candidate for this role will have a solid understanding of technology transactions, AI, and a passion for structuring cutting edge technology deals. The candidate must be a clear communicator and able to collaborate with a range of cross-functional teams. You will join a growing team of technology deal lawyers working in a fast-paced and exciting realm.

The specific areas of focus and responsibilities will change based on company priorities, new legal issues and the regulatory and competitive ecosystem.

Associate General Counsel, AI Partnerships Responsibilities
  • Provide legal advice and day-to-day support to internal stakeholders.
  • Serve as subject matter expert on artificial intelligence technology transactions.
  • Draft, negotiate and close artificial intelligence transactions of various complexity.
  • Actively participate on cross-functional teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent)
  • Active membership in at least one US state bar and eligibility to obtain registered in-house counsel status
  • 8+ years of legal experience as a practicing attorney, including at a law firm and/or in-house experience with internet or technology companies
  • Business judgment and client counseling experience
  • Experience drafting complex technology licensing agreements and technology transaction counseling experience
  • Effective communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working proactively, independently and reliably under tight timeframes in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience collaborating at all levels of the business across functions, including leadership and C-suite
  • Experience working on AI transactions
