What You'll Do:
As an Associate Family Law Attorney, you will:
- Assist with and manage family law matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, property division, and post-decree issues
- Conduct legal research and prepare thoughtful legal analysis
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, settlement agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents
- Assist with case strategy and preparation
- Participate in client consultations and communicate with clients throughout their cases
- Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, negotiations, and other proceedings
- Develop negotiation and advocacy skills while working alongside experienced attorneys
- Assist with trial preparation and gain courtroom experience
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and other members of the legal team
- Maintain organized case files and keep matters moving forward
- Build trusted relationships with clients through clear, compassionate communication
- Learn from feedback and continuously develop your legal skills
- Contribute ideas that improve the client experience and the way the firm practices law
Qualifications:

You'll be a strong fit if you have:
- A Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- An active license and membership in good standing with the Tennessee Bar
- 1–3 years of legal experience, preferably with exposure to family law
- Strong legal research and writing skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- A willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback
- Sound judgment and professionalism
- The ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Confidence balanced with humility—you know what you know, and you're not afraid to ask questions when you don't
- Genuine empathy for clients facing difficult circumstances
- A strong work ethic and commitment to doing excellent work
