Growing Austin Family Law Practice Seeks a Sales Attorney. Required Qualifications:
Associate Sales Attorney: Licensed to practice law in Texas with one-year minimum of family law practice. Computer/tech savvy is a must. You must have previous experience signing up family law clients and doing consults. Experience with routine casework and litigation including contested court hearings/trials, mediations, meeting and signing new clients, drafting and filing pleadings, discovery, orders, decrees, deeds, court appearances, and client services is required.
The position will be heavily phone and sales based, and is not litigation based, but the above requirements are required experiences in order to inform your sales position. The position will also include marketing and intake team oversight/tasks/projects as it pertains to signing up and tracking leads. This position will also require communication with clients to ease concerns/issues they may have/smooth over relationships with the firm and clients in order to retain clients and earn positive reviews. This position will also require working with other firm attorneys to transition cases to them and to work on marketing projects with them (getting them reviews, profiles set up and peer reviewed on attorney directories, helping them acquire Super Lawyers, Awards etc, and other marketing projects needed as a Sales Attorney). This position requires someone to be personable, confident, compassionate, outgoing, extroverted, likeable, computer/tech savy, sales and business minded, and 100% reliable. It is total sales. It will require multitasking and communicating on multiple platforms online and in person, very quickly, and with high energy and positivity. A can-do, solution-oriented attitude and ability to wear multiple hats as needed. However, this position will NOT include any litigation, and will include only very minimal case work as needed to transition client over to other attorneys in the firm.
Ideal Characteristics for this Position: Sales mindset. This is a unique position for someone who has practiced family law litigation in the Austin area and surrounding counties, who is able to close (sign up) potentional new clients who contact the firm. The role is perfect for someone who is presentable, charasmatic, and has a real understanding of what it takes to make potential family law clients feel comfortable and confident in our firm's services. This is for someone who can confidently discuss financial matters with clients/potential clients and ask for payment/fees with ease and no discomfort. This requires that you are extremely knowledgable about local family law and are also extremely personable. Would be a great role for a litigator looking to take a break from the courtroom with a large family law knowledge base.
You'll also need the ability to function in high-conflict and high-stress situations with confidence, appropriate humor, and grace. A person who shows up on time, and is present during work hours. A kind person who works well with others in the office, no matter their position, whether virtually or in person. Upbeat, solution oriented, reliable, highly productive, team-player, friendly and empathetic, tactful communicator.
Preferred Qualifications: Strong preference will be given to candidates who already practice in Travis, Williamson, and/or Hays Counties. Experience with Clio, Westlaw Form Builder, Texas Family Law Practice Manual, Word, and Excel a plus.

Sales Attorney pay: $50,000 base salary + bonuses for signing up cases (these bonuses will comprise the bulk of your overall pay, the salary is just a baseline). The right sales attorney could easily make $200,000+ in this position. There is no cap to your sales bonuses other than the sale's attorney's own performance.
We have a hybrid work model. This is full time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm (with some after hours or weekend work flexiblity as required to sign up clients who can't do a business hours consult, or if you want to make a sale even outside of business hours for bonus purposes). You will need to be able to meet potential new clients at the drop of a hat at any of our offices (they are all in the Austin area), on Zoom, and also on the phone. So while there is flexiblity for mostly remote work, it will be subject to closing a case immediately as it comes in including being in person for consults if that's what it takes. You also need the ability to work from home as needed. We have three offices.
