Job Description: Associate Family Attorney

Key Responsibilities:

Represent clients at hearings, trials, mediations, and arbitrations
Handle complex cases involving divorce, child custody, domestic violence, substance abuse, and mental health issues
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, motions, and memoranda
Manage cases independently with the support of your dedicated paralegal
Draft and argue Requests for Orders, responsive pleadings, and other litigation documents.
Develop discovery strategy and draft and respond to discovery demands.
Conduct advanced legal research and prepare persuasive briefs and motions.
Draft prenuptial and postnuptial agreements and complex marital settlement agreements.
Prepare judgments and other documents necessary to bring matters to resolution.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on trial strategy and actively participate in trial proceedings.
Appear independently at hearings, status conferences, and other court proceedings.
Maintain strong relationships with clients and opposing counsel while serving as a trusted point of contact.
Handle high-asset, high-conflict, and procedurally complex family law matters.

Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
Licensure: Active Texas Bar membership
Experience: Minimum of 3 years Texas family law litigation experience

Ability to handle a high caseload and manage time effectively.
Empathy and cultural sensitivity when working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of foreign languages, especially Spanish, is often highly beneficial.
