About the Role: Associate Counsel
BayCare is seeking an Associate Counsel to serve as a trusted legal partner across the health system. In this role, you will draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of corporate contracts, physician agreements, and related legal documents while ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state healthcare regulations, including Stark Law and the Anti‑Kickback Statute.

The Associate Counsel supports internal clients at all levels of the organization, delivers practical and timely legal guidance, and manages a high volume of requests in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate is a proactive self‑starter with strong communication and customer service skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.

Your Role Within the Team
Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, physician agreements, and other legal documents
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including Stark Law and the Anti‑Kickback Statute
  • Provide legal guidance on physician transactions, alignment matters, and healthcare regulatory issues
  • Collaborate with internal departments and coordinate with outside counsel on key contractual terms
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance standard contract templates used across the health system
  • Advise on a broad range of legal and regulatory matters impacting the organization
  • Manage a high volume of emails and document requests while meeting established deadlines
  • Partner with leaders at all levels to support operational and strategic initiatives

Qualifications:
  • Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
  • Licensure: Active Florida Bar membership
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of post‑JD legal experience
  • Healthcare Experience: At least 1 year preferred
