General Summary / Duties and Responsibilities:Associate Corporate Counsel is responsible for supporting the Office of Corporate Counsel in providing legal and regulatory advice and counsel, applicable to Crown's day-to-day activities.
Duties and Responsibilities (will include but are not limited to):
- Help managing basic adverse litigation to include tracking, assisting in development of litigation strategy, and management of outside counsel.
- Assist licensing department, including researching licensure requirements for new applicable licenses for the business.
- Drafting and negotiating vendor contracts and managing vendor contract management system.
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements.
- Collaborate with departments company-wide to provide guidance on legal issues.
- Managing other related projects, as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Licensed to practice law in one state where Crown Asset Management, LLC operates.
- One to two years' experience as a practicing attorney either in-house or with a law firm.
- Experience with litigation and the financial services industry a plus, but not required.
- Strong drafting, problem solving and project management skills.
